For sellers
Every fee, on one page
Seller terms should be readable in under two minutes. Here is the whole arrangement — what you keep, when it arrives, and the handful of things that can reduce it.
70% to you
On every sale, at every volume. There is no tiered structure that pays less until you hit a target.
Paid on the 5th
Everything earned in a calendar month is paid on the 5th of the next month, or the next working day.
No minimum, no fee
$2.40 gets paid out the same as $2,400. We don't hold balances hostage behind a threshold.
Statements you can file
A downloadable statement per payout, itemised by document, in a format your accountant will accept.
Fee breakdown
There are no fees beyond the ones in this table. If you ever find a deduction you cannot trace to a row here, that is a bug and we want to hear about it.
| Item | Amount | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Seller share | 70% of the sale price | Paid to you |
| Platform fee | 30% of the sale price | Covers review, hosting, support and payment processing |
| Listing fee | None | Upload as many documents as you like |
| Withdrawal fee | None | For SEPA and UK bank transfers |
| Currency conversion | At cost | Applied only when your account currency differs from the sale currency |
| Chargeback handling | None | We absorb disputed-transaction costs rather than deducting them from you |
Payout questions
- When exactly do I get paid?
- Sales are grouped by calendar month and paid on the 5th of the following month. A sale on 31 March is paid on 5 April; a sale on 1 April is paid on 5 May. If the 5th is a weekend or public holiday, payment goes out the next working day.
- Is there a minimum payout amount?
- No. Any positive balance is paid out on the normal schedule, including amounts under one euro.
- How are refunds handled?
- If a buyer refunds a document, the corresponding amount is deducted from your next payout. If your balance is already zero, we absorb it rather than invoicing you. Refund rates above 10% on a single document trigger a quality review.
- Do I have to pay tax on this?
- Almost certainly yes, and it depends on where you live and your total income. Earnings from selling notes are usually taxable income even when you are a student. We provide itemised statements for every payout, but we cannot give tax advice — check your national rules or ask an accountant.
- What payout methods are supported?
- PayPal, or a bank transfer to any IBAN account. In India we pay to a UPI ID or to an account number and IFSC. You enter these in your seller settings, and we store them for the single purpose of paying you — never shown to buyers, never shared with other sellers, and shown back to you masked rather than in full.
Anything not covered here is in the terms of service, or ask us directly via contact.
Publish first, worry about payouts later.
You only need bank details when your first sale comes in — uploading and listing needs nothing but the file.
