Terms we are willing to put in writing
Most notes platforms bury the revenue share and the exclusivity clause. Ours are the first two lines of the seller agreement.
- You keep the rights. Publish elsewhere too, unpublish any time.
- No exclusivity contract and no lock-in period.
- Course-code matching means your notes reach the students who need them.
- Sales keep running for as long as the module does — typically 2 to 4 years.
- Transparent 70% revenue share, stated up front and never renegotiated downward.

of every sale goes to you. On an $8.99 summary that is $6.29 per unlock, paid monthly with no threshold and no withdrawal fee.
Questions sellers ask first
- How much do students actually earn selling notes?
- It depends entirely on course size and quality. A well-made summary for a large first-year module typically earns between $200 and $900 over its life. Sellers with several documents across a full degree programme regularly pass $3,000.
- What percentage does CramShare take?
- Sellers keep 70% of every sale. The remaining 30% covers payment processing, the review process, hosting and support. There is no listing fee, no subscription and no withdrawal fee.
- Can I sell notes if I have already graduated?
- Yes. Notes stay relevant for as long as the module and its reading list do, which is usually two to four years. Plenty of the highest-earning documents were uploaded by people who had already finished their degree.
- Is selling my own notes allowed by my university?
- Your own original notes are your work and yours to publish. Copying lecture slides, textbook pages or another student's work is not, and will be rejected in review. Check your institution's academic policy if you are unsure — our academic integrity page explains where the line sits.

The notes are already on your laptop.
Publishing them takes about four minutes. After that they earn without you doing anything else.
