(Looks uncomfortable alert, dressed in gown, appears in pain.  How can I help you today? My stomach really hurts!  Do you have any other symptoms or concerns we should discuss? I cannot keep anything down and I haven’t gone to the bathroom in 2 days! That’s enough to have going on all at once  Tell me how that makes you feel? Well right now I’m feeling pretty lousy and a little worried about this.  How does this affect your life? This is really painful. I’m stuck focusing on that and so I’m not doing much else  What symptoms is the most distressing for you? My stomach hurts.  What happened? I can’t think of anything that happened.
